Zerocup biobased, heat-resistant and dishwasher-safe

Zerocup is a thoughtful, durable, and eco-friendly alternative to disposable and conventional cups. Its heat-resistant, dishwasher-safe material ensures it can be reused hundreds of times. When its life cycle ends, Zerocup can be collected and recycled into new cups, creating a circular system that reduces waste.

The environmental cost of conventional plastics

The world is facing a growing environmental crisis driven by the widespread use of single-use and fossil-based plastics. These plastics contribute to rising CO₂ emissions, the spread of microplastics in ecosystems, and an increasing dependence on finite resources like crude oil. As plastic waste accumulates in landfills and oceans, the harmful impact on the planet becomes more apparent. At UBITE, bio-based materials aren’t meant to be an alternative, instead they are meant to be the new standard. The transition away from single-use plastics is accelerating across Europe, driven by regulation (e.g. SUP Directive), corporate sustainability targets, and public pressure. Within this shift, reuse systems are emerging as a powerful alternative to disposable packaging. Zerocup is a leading example of this model in practice.
